As an Operations Engineer, you create chemistry by...

  • Providing technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, EHS, and Quality Incidents.
  • Serving as a role model in championing risk reduction activities for all plant employees by setting a Zero Incident Mindset and perform observations on safe work practices, compliance to basic rules, and set high standards for housekeeping.
  • Directing process capability and efficiency efforts to reduce operating costs, reworking off grade material, and improving plant operations.
  • Providing Technical Support and troubleshooting expertise to daily operational team for plant problems that occur and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Being accountable for critical Process Safety elements such as Management of Change (MOC), PSSR’s, Accident and Incident Management system, Operational Procedures, and employee participation. For Changes needing a MOC, ensuring risk assessments are thoroughly done and changes do not jeopardize safety of plant.
  • Coordinating with Operations leadership, Supply Chain planning, and Maintenance team in the scheduling/ execution of maintenance work and outage work, minimizing the impact to the business and production plan.
  • Ensuring correct downtime category assignment of lost production via GAP tool; as well as developing plans to optimize the unexpected losses and scheduled downtime for the plant equipment.

If you...

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Field (Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Preferably possess 2 years of Operations Engineering experience.
  • Have strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with chemical processing equipment, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
  • Bring prior experience in process hazard analysis, management of change, root cause analysis, and incident investigations.
