Internship Agricultural Data Analyst (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

During your internship opportunity with a duration of 3-6 months, you will become acquainted with several tasks within our unit, giving you the chance to apply your theoretical knowledge in the daily business and gain hands-on experience. BASF xarvio Digital Farming is one of the world's leading groups in delivering digital agricultural solutions.

• In your new role, you analyze agricultural data using Python or R.
• You combine field-specific crop data with remotely sensed satellite data to help farmers improving crop production.
• You also combine different scripts into a smoothly running script, including code cleanup and documentation.
• In addition, you support the team in designing and refining data-driven agricultural solutions.
• Last but not least, you contribute new ideas on satellite bands or indices that can be useful in an agricultural context.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• enrolled student in agricultural sciences or similar subjects
• extensive work experience, international experience is an advantage
• sound experience in programming with R or Python
• profound experience in data analysis, preferably geospatial data in space and time
• sound experience in adapting, development and simplification of code
• strong communicational skills in English, speaking German is nice to have
