BASF Coatings Officer Transport Management within Turkey

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Within our Shipping & Freight Management we are responsible for the handling of national and international truck and intermodal shipments for packed goods.
• We deliver the products in compliance with the requested delivery date and at optimal cost conditions.
• You plan and organize the shipments to external customers in compliance with legal, BASF-internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations with a goal to maximize freight loads while minimizing freight cost and handling.
• You arrange shipments to ensure the most efficient use of transportation resources while meeting internal & external customer-specific service levels and needs.
• By being in regular contact with service providers you monitor and evaluate their performance in terms of quality, reliability and feedback rate while acting as a trouble shooter for any kind of logistics problem.
• You register and process all non-conformance events in SAP and consistently strive to develop an agile service providers' capability.
• Furthermore, you ensure e-delivery notes creation with all details defined by relevant transportation regulations.
• Finally, you act as a bridge between the OTC team, warehouse responsibles and service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• degree in logistics, supply chain or other comparable area and ideally first relevant experience
• ability to work with MS Office packages; knowledge of SAP S/4 is a plus
• strong customer orientation and responsible attitude
• fluent Turkish and English language skills both written and spoken
