The QA Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative testing solutions and processes. This role supports engineering tasks through research, analysis, and technical expertise, contributing to the continuous improvement of digital solutions within BASF AP. A key focus is the delivery and evolution of an internal testing platform and Center of Excellence (CoE) for global digital products.
- Design and develop testing programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of internally developed software, particularly prior to major updates or deployments.
- Collaborate with Digital Product Delivery teams to define and execute comprehensive test cases.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve testing processes and identify corrective actions.
- Apply expertise in bug prevention, identification, and early feedback, leveraging QA methodologies and test strategies.
- Contribute to test design, performance testing, test architecture, and configuration management.
- Document formal test procedures and communicate findings effectively.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to propose innovative testing solutions.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Working Experience:
- 3+ years leading test automation process for large teams.
- 3+ years of experience in stakeholder management (internal or external).
- 3+ years of experience in at least two comparable roles.
- Experience in agile, scrum-based environments (preferred).
- Experience in self-learning and coaching others (preferred).
• Language skills: Advanced level of English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Technical skills:
- Advanced in test case creation and user acceptance testing.
- Advanced programming skills (Java/JavaScript).
- Advanced QA and testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and IT infrastructure.
- Advanced in UI/API test automation and analysis techniques.
- Proficient in error detection and debugging.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Tosca, JMeter, Selenium).
• Soft skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
