Strategic Responsibilities
Actively represents the interests of BASF.
Leads by example and serves as a strong advocate for BASF’s corporate values and principles, reinforcing the company’s image.
Contributes to maintaining BASF’s long-term competitiveness.
Complies with BASF Group’s Compliance Program.
Adheres to occupational health and safety regulations, industrial hygiene standards, and fire safety requirements as mandated by both the Republic of Kazakhstan and BASF.
Observes all legal requirements governing BASF’s operations, as well as the company’s internal policies and procedures.
Supports the operation and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensures implementation of Transportation and Distribution Safety (TDS) procedures. Ensures compliance with Trade Control program procedures.
Oversees the execution of Vendor Master Data (VMD) procedures for supplier management.
Operational Responsibilities
Processes orders and monitors order status in SAP.
Manages end-to-end logistics for raw materials and finished goods, including communication and negotiation with suppliers and carriers, tracking shipments, and handling import/export customs formalities.
Oversees quality control of purchased products within the scope of existing expertise.
Manages warehouse operations in SAP: receiving, transfers, write-offs, and returns.
Coordinates loading and unloading activities at bonded warehouses, main storage facilities, and rail sidings in collaboration with service providers.
Analyzes transportation costs within the city and across regions.
Determines appropriate modes of transport and identifies optimal delivery routes and methods.
Oversees customs clearance for company imports and exports.
Prepares the required documentation package in accordance with customs regulations for goods clearance.
Monitors delivery outcomes.
Prepares work reports and proposes process improvements for the department.
Carries out other tasks and assignments as directed by management.
Monitors and resolves trade control blocks.
Participates in inventory counts.
Maintains logistics documentation flow.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company.
Higher education.
Proficient PC user with strong command of Microsoft Office.
English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level; knowledge of Kazakh is a plus.
Experience in customer service or supply chain management.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and databases.
Experience in SAP.
Familiarity with Incoterms 2010.
Knowledge of current customs and international trade regulations.
Understanding of domestic and international freight transportation standards across all transport modes.
