Freight Cost Accounting Semi Senior Analyst

Main Tasks:

• Manage and process a portfolio for freight carriers in its cluster (Brazil, SA or US), supporting BASF business and in liaison with service providers, BU Planners, Procurement and Logistics.
• Understands the stakeholder’s specifications and needs.
• Assures daily business in terms of invoice processing and acts as single point of contact for his/her suppliers (payment accuracy). Organizes and conduct meetings with suppliers and main stakeholders to continuously challenge and enhance the current process.
• Anticipate, identify and evaluate possible risks that may affect the owned process and results to propose mitigation strategies in order to achieve the established objectives.
• Periodically report on the progress and status of the daily business and escalate to management as needed.
• Maintain an open, trusting, and close relationship with the main stakeholders.
• Conduct trainings and participate in internal initiatives/projects as needed.

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

• Education | Advanced student or university degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Accounting, or a finance-related field.
• Work Experience | More than 4 years of previous experience in similar positions.
• Languages | Advanced proficiency in both oral and written English and Portuguese is mandatory and will be tested.
• Technical Skills | Advanced Excel skills are mandatory. Knowledge of SAP R/3 or SAP HANA is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills | Strong analytical thinking, effective communication and a customer-focused approach are essential for the position.
