Java Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) 2

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Elaborate technical design (ABAP OO /customizing) of possible solutions for subject-specific business requirements
• Develop, configure and test complex applications, including quality assurance and managing projects in cooperation with our business partners and third-party providers
• Implement and/or customize relevant digital applications
• Managing and maintaining operational business support in BASF SAP application landscape
• Steer third party provider in terms of solution or service delivery of procurement
• You will come with us on our journey from the current SAP R/3 to the S/4 HANA system from the beginning.
• Interfaces and dealing with different technologies will be part of your daily work: SAP CPI, SAP PO, SAP PI, REST, JSon, OData, ALE, BAPI, XML, SOAP, Proxy, Webservice, Kafka event bus
• Manage implementation workstreams for SAP procurement modules
• The team uses agile methodology, and you will work with methods like Scrum or Kanban in a global team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics or in a comparable field
• Wo5-7 years of experience in working with building/supporting complex SAP applications; especially in purchasing processes; SAP API Portal
• 5-7 years of experience in working with international project teams
• Advanced/fluent written and spoken language skills in English. All meetings/workshops are in English.
• Advanced skills in Digital technology - S4/HANA, CDS view, Fiori, UI5, API. Optional :, RPA / automation, Power Platform, Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence, etc
• Basic skills in Agile way of working or agile implementation approach
• Intermediate skills in Problem management, Change Management (incl. small business requests) and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)
• Agile mindset, proactive entrepreneurial action, good self-organized work organization and teamwork in an agile environment, complemented by a strong innovation and customer orientation
