Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, MBA is a plus
Minimum 10 years of tax expertise, preferably within multinational companies or Big 4 firms with management experience
CPA qualification is required; being a sworn CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus
Strong knowledge of local tax legislation and international tax principles
Experience in preparing Transfer Pricing Reports and handling tax audits
Ability to maintain effective relationships with tax authorities and external auditors
Excellent communication skills in English
Proven experience in leading teams and developing talent
Skilled in organizational awareness, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders both local and international
JOB DESCRIPTION
Following up-to-date local tax legislation, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and BASF accounting and policy practices, communicating with relevant parties and departments on changes and developments.
Participate and take necessary steps to be prepared for internal and external tax audits by representing the company.
Maintaining relations with tax authorities, providing requested information and documents.
Ensuring that all tax obligations are fulfilled on time, completely and accurately.
Ensuring the preparation of the annual legal Transfer Pricing Report.
Collaborating and supporting all other departments on issues within the field of expertise.
Information sharing and coordination with the BASF central tax department.
