- Leveraging your educational and/or professional background in Occupational Safety, you will provide technical and regulatory expertise to the Attapulgus Ga site; oversee the Occupational Safety & Health and Industrial Hygiene programs; lead responsible management of corporate, local, state, and federal safety programs and initiatives to improve workplace operations and control hazards.
- Demonstrating your Occupational Safety experience and strategic thinking, you will support BASF Responsible Care© Management Systems, including effective implementation of BASF standardized OSIH processes, and participation in management system reviews.
- Working with a results-oriented mindset, you will ensure effective communication of new / modified internal and external OSIH requirements and lead implementation.
- Your strong written and verbal communication skills and passion to help drive EHS improvements at a fast-paced manufacturing site will serve you well as you facilitate the development of safety programs, procedures, tools, and successfully demonstrated practices at the Attapulgus site. This person will also steward the Behavioral Based Safety program at the site.
- Using strong proficiency and skills in presenting information and teaching will enable you to effectively educate the workforce on new and changing OSIH requirements and concepts.
- Your analytical and problem-solving abilities will be essential as you navigate complex audit, compliance, and regulatory processes while managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrating your exceptional safety orientation will be vital as you collaborate and interface with business partners and functional teams where the ability to gain cooperation is critical.
- Hold a Degree in EHS, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in industrial occupational safety program implementation.
- Possess detailed knowledge of OSHA requirements and record keeping as well as working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene compliance and program implementation.
- Have experience in leading and conducting safety related incident investigations and management of change reviews.
- Have professional certification as a Safety Professional (CSP) is desirable.
