RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide end users a tool portfolio within an approved and efficiently supported architecture so they can deploy and design their own reports and do analytics.
  • Empower the Divisions, Corporate Centers, Service units and citizen developers at BASF connect to and visualize data using Power BI or Tableau and to make use of the various data preparation tools available such as Alteryx, and Xtract Universal to aid in the process of preparing, structuring, and enriching raw data.
  • Define rules, guidelines & recommendations together with Business, Provisioning of Self-Service BI tools/environment, Governance (licenses, security, sustainable service, etc.), Maintenance (e.g. infrastructure), Enablement of users.

OUR MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics
  • Sophisticated experience in automation and scripting
  • Interest in latest developments in digitalization
  • Advanced communication skills e.g. obtained through trainer-roles
  • Experience with BI Tools (PowerBI, Tableau) or Data Transformation Tools (i.e.: Alteryx, Xtract Universal)
  • Full professional English proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of Cloud-Applications (preferably Azure
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Data Warehouse architecture basics
  • Programming (Python, SQL) basics
  • Basics of Data Sciences, Distributed Processing Systems & Lakehouse Concepts
  • First experience with IT-processes (e.g. ITIL)
