- Using continuous improvement approaches (OpEx, LSS) to ensure a reliable operation and optimize cost, quality and safety.
- Partnering with Operations to maintain safe operation of assets.
- Identifying and leading projects to debottleneck and/or otherwise improve equipment and processes.
- Providing troubleshooting support for equipment to ensure consistent production.
- Support capital projects planning and execution towards scope development, safety reviews, commissioning, and start-up, and act as manufacturing representative when needed.
- Understanding of control systems and automation of assigned equipment.
- Providing technical guidance and root cause analysis facilitation for investigations.
- Supporting hazard assessments, Management of Change, RC EHS audit preparation, and action items management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Work Instructions, process safety information, and provide Operational team training.
- Have a Bachelors Degree in engineering (Chemical engineering preferred).
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working in chemical manufacturing.
- Have experience leading projects and are able to support multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Possess excellent analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical, operational, and financial data and develop effective solutions.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong computer skills with SAP knowledge (preferred).
- Lean/Six sigma experience (preferred).
