About the department

In the "Simulation Engineering" department, we offer this position at the Immenstaad location. The Engineering department supports the Business Line Simulation and is responsible for the development, delivery, and operation of reference plants for integration support and training systems. Within the Simsphere® Simulation Suite, simulators for sensor systems are created that allow the user to simulate a complex overall scenario in combination with other simulators and to verify it under performance criteria. Different variations of the simulation enable support for system development, integration, and proof of concept, and to train the end-user on the system at an early stage. As a student, you will work directly with the development team. You will work on exciting tasks and gain direct insight into the system and software development of speculation systems. Extending the activity to a final thesis is possible.

Your tasks

• Development of a software interface for the control of projectors via RS232 and Ethernet
• Implementation of the protocol based on a predefined interface description
• Implementation of a user interface (MMI) for the control (user) and setting (administrator) of the projectors
• Integration into existing software

Your profile

• Enrolled student in the field of computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, business informatics, mathematics, or comparable
• Programming skills in at least one programming language
• Creativity, initiative, and enjoyment of technology
• Very good German and English language skills
