About the Department

In the 'Simulation Engineering' department, we are offering this position at the Immenstaad location. The Engineering department supports the Business Line Simulation and is responsible for the development, delivery, and operation of reference plants for integration support and training systems. Within the Simsphere® Simulation Suite, simulators for sensor systems are created, allowing the user to simulate a complex overall scenario in combination with other simulators and verify it under performance criteria. Various forms of simulation support system development, integration, and proof of concept, and allow early training of the end-user on the system. As a student, you will work directly with the development team. You will work on exciting tasks and gain direct insight into the system and software development of simulation systems. Extending the activity to a final thesis is possible.

Your Tasks

• Installation of the HENSOLDT proprietary operating system 'HeROS', based on RedHat Linux, on an existing simulation system
• Adaptation of the operating system to the requirements of the simulation system (e.g., drivers)
• Integration of simulation applications
• Creation of an image for automatic series installation

Your Profile

• Enrolled student in the field of computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, business informatics, mathematics, or comparable
• Programming skills in at least one programming language
• Experience with Linux
• Creativity, initiative, and enjoyment of technology
• Very good German and English language skills
