About the Area

For the 'Category Management Directs' area, we are looking for a 'Category Manager Directs for HF/RF Components' at the Ulm location as soon as possible. The 'Category Management Directs' area takes over the strategic purchasing of direct materials for the entire company. Similar needs are bundled and negotiated by the respective Category Manager and procurement is prepared. This is done in cooperation with project purchasing, operational purchasing and supply chain quality as well as engineering and the business lines.

Your Tasks

• Strategic purchasing responsibility for a global procurement volume
• Direct reporting line to the Global Head of Category Management Directs
• Development of the procurement strategy for the category (High Frequency Modules / Components) in coordination with internal partners such as engineering, operations, and program
• Global analysis of procurement markets and identification of suppliers, capacities, and technologies
• Supplier development
• Conducting negotiations with suppliers on products and services throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Execution of international tenders
• Technical and commercial evaluation of offers in coordination with internal partners such as engineering, operations, and program
• Selection of suppliers and negotiation and conclusion of contracts
• Periodic evaluation of suppliers in terms of their performance in qualitative and quantitative terms in coordination with internal partners such as engineering, operations, and program

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the field of economics, engineering, or many years of relevant professional experience or comparable
• Extensive experience / knowledge in the procurement process and in project management
• Extensive purchasing experience including new tenders in the higher million EUR range electronics and / or HF components
• Experience in strategic procurement or in supplier relationship management in a high-tech environment
• Sound knowledge and many years of experience in contract negotiations
• Very good knowledge of procurement regulations and contract law
• Good user knowledge in SAP R3 (MM module)
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and high technical affinity
• Confident appearance as well as very good negotiation and communication skills
• Business fluent German and English skills
