PhD in Photopolymer Chemistry

We offer a PhD position within our Holography Raw Materials team, a unit within our Business Entity Specialty Films – Research and Development Department. The position comes with the offer to be associated with the group of Prof. Dr. Birgit Glüsen at TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences. Additional Arrangements with other supervisors and host universities are possible. We are investigating phase modulation materials for application in transmission holography and cooperating internally with our application development department for holographic light guiding and externally with a leading scientific institute in astronomy. The open position aims to combine chemical synthesis of reactive components (i.e. monomers) and their utilization in state-of-the-art photopolymers with several analytical and application driven analytical techniques.
