Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing MES architecture specific to customer´s needs and aligned with the Smart Operations platform and technologies
• Main stakeholder on MES projects ensuring the solution fits the company’s global digitalization strategy
• Key interface to IT/OT stakeholders concerning project support, Supply Chain Management, and communication to the production teams
• Provide solutions for ERP and DCS integration for batch and continuous plants
• Create documentation with design specifications for MES functions, process workflows, and information exchange between different systems
• Participate in testing, validation, and final documentation of designed system
• Design and conduct training for different stakeholders specific to their roles on the functionality of MES
• Create a continuous improvement program that will be managed by the owners/operators of the systems after the project

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in the field of Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Computer or Software Engineering, Data Science, IT or similar
• Hands-on experience with MES configuration requirements, including interface with SAP and automation systems (Yokogawa, Siemens, and Emerson)
• Experience in chemical plants with batch production
• Knowledge on MES international standards
• Familiarity with German guidelines and recommendations, and experience working on GMP projects is a plus
• 5-10 years of experience in the process industry supporting different solutions and applications
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing or implementing MES
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
